God bless my parents, who are the kind of fancy people that pay for cable. I remember back in the day when NBC/CBS/ABC/FOX were "broadcast networks" and you got them for free but apparently they have to be paid for now. My parents have Food TV, Cooking Channel, and HGTV which means that thanks to the wonders of modern technology I can watch them live on the Internet.
And having discovered this capability a mere two days ago, I have spent this time watching some of my faves. Chopped, Guy's Grocery Games (even if, like me, you loathe Guy Fieri this is addictive as hell) and Dinner at Tiffani's. Tiffani Amber Thiessen, or Tiffani Thiessen as she goes by today, is probably my dream dinner party host. Sadly in my dinky NY apartment I cannot emulate her grandes fêtes lacking both the space and the budget, but I do host a mean dinner party if I do say so myself.
I long for the days when I used to shoot photos with a DSLR, nowadays I'm far too lazy. But here are some of my previous group eats:
